28 Jun What To Do While You’re Waiting
Lots of us have travel plans for the holiday weekend. I am sure there will be a point where you are waiting for something. An airplane, a taxi, that coffee you ordered. Whether your wait is 2 minutes or 2 hours, here are some helpful tips to get your #mindright while waiting:
- Take a deep breath. Or better yet 10 or 20 deep breaths. Consciously control what is naturally an unconscious process. Inhale. Exhale. Repeat. Waiting just went from an annoyance to no big deal.
- Check something off your list. Is there a task you can accomplish during the time you will be waiting? Schedule that appointment. Answer an email. Brainstorm what to eat for dinner. Being productive ensures the time spent waiting won’t be wasted.
- Be thankful. That’s right – thankful. Take a moment to appreciate your surroundings, your family, your health. Anything and everything good in your life. Being thankful in moments like these will change your perspective for the better.
