Let me start by saying I love Thanksgiving. A lot. Sharing great food with friends and family is what life is all about. With the chaotic rush of the holidays just over the horizon we can all use a few tricks to help us achieve balance during this time of parties, get-togethers, and other commitments.
Here are my three wellness tips for a successful Thanksgiving (and beyond!):
1. Move first thing: I am all about enjoying the food on Turkey Day, but nothing is worse than not being hungry when it is time to eat. Get moving early to jump start your appetite.

2. Use natural ingredients as much as possible: If you like pumpkin pie, go for it. If you like stuffing, dig in. Just go for natural ingredients. One day of eating like this will not throw you off if you are eating real natural food.

3. Walk and Talk: After your meal is the perfect time to grab a loved one and go for a walk. Besides helping with digestion, it is a great opportunity to work on the relationships that mean the most – family and friends!
