Check out Oprah’s conversation with Shawn Achor. In it they discuss how to bring more positivity to your life.

I have listened to this podcast at least three times in the past two weeks. Here are my takeaways:

  • We have to ability to be happier.
  • If people improve their habits and mindset they can improve their life and increase their happiness.
  • Happiness is the joy we feel striving for our potential.
  • Joy is linked to meaning.
  • Our social connections are just as strong as factor in how long we live as obesity, high blood pressure, and smoking.
  • Only 10% of our long term happiness is based on the external world. 90% is based on how we “perceive” the outside world.
  • Gratitude changes your vibrational frequency.
